“Goldie Stole My Husband” – Ifeoma Harvey(former best friend)

89caba4716cc98b92dc0a526939c8f40
Just when you thought the drama is over more stories keeps developing and even goes deeper
Now a woman named Ifeoma Harvey(pictured), has come out to say that Goldie Harvey stole her husband(Andrew Harvey)!
Ifeoma has taken to Facebook to say her part of the story where she claims that she and Goldie were best friends a while back. According to Ifeoma, Goldie waited for the opportune moment to elope with Andrew Harvey in Nigeria, while he was still married to Ifeoma. “She never knew that one day death would come calling,” says Ifeoma, “She rendered that man useless, took all his money and right now Andrew Harvey is lying in the hospital in Malaysia.”
This part of the story seems to check out with Andrew Harvey’s claim that he is currently in Malaysia. Ifeoma went on:
“Goldie went to Malaysia to visit the sick man before going to USA (for the Grammys) and came back to meet her mysterious death. Goldie is a liar, pretender and desperado. She wants to get money and fame at all cost… forced her trashy music down our throat, went to BBA and messed up with Prezzo… married woman indeed! Why is Andrew posting their so-called marriage pics now? Maybe the charm she used has cleared from his eyes! He should shut the hell up and pray for quick recovery from his sick bed in Malaysia. After that he can go back to London and beg his wife and two kids for forgiveness!”

Death Has Struck Again In Nollywood As Another Actor Dies In Abuja

collinsik2
The artiste died yesterday at the Maitama General Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his young wife, Blessing Collins, and little son, Doxa Efechukwu Collins.
The news, which was confirmed yesterday by the chairman of the guild in Abuja, Agility Onwurah, has thrown the Abuja chapter of AGN into mourning. The usually boisterous Access Garden, which is the official location of the guild’s activities, was full of tears and wailings yesterday.
A call placed to his wife yesterday was answered by her mother who said Blessing Collins was not in the right frame of mind to speak. The mother-in-law however confirmed the sad news.

Doxa Efechukwu Collins, his sole heir, was born on May 12, 2012, and was dedicated on Sunday July 22 at the Christ Chosen Church of God, Gwarimpa, Abuja, after which his parents treated entertainment practitioners to a lavish ceremony at their Jikwoyi residence.
“It is quite unfortunate that the young lady has been widowed at this early age with such a little boy. This is a big loss, not only to the family, but to the entertainment industry in Abuja,” Frank White, chairman of the Producers Guild of Nigeria, Abuja Chapter lamented.
The late Collins had a knack for producing gospel movies and has to his credit The Burning Flames, el-Gibor, Back to Bethel, and was before his death, working on another blockbuster.
He is one of the very successful Abuja based entertainers who have been able to prove that you don’t have to be in Lagos to make it in the industry.
Until his death, he was the PRO elect of the Actors guild of Nigeria, AGN, Abuja chapter.

Gunmen kill guard, abduct 8 expatriates in Bauchi

List of kidnappings of foreigners in northern Nigeria
BAUCHI — Gunmen kidnapped eight foreigners and killed a security guard when they stormed the compound of a Lebanese construction company, Setraco, in Bauchi State, yesterday, the police said.
Among those abducted were a Briton, an Italian, a Greek and five Lebanese workers, including a woman and a child.
Bauchi Police Commissioner Mohammed Ladan said the gunmen attacked a police station and a prison overnight before storming the construction firm’s compound in Jama’are town.
He said: “We repelled the attack on police station and the security men at the prison yard also repelled the attack, but they burnt two vehicles in Jama’are police station.
“They then attacked Setraco construction, killed a security guard and succeeded in kidnapping people.”
Ladan who did not disclose the identity of the people kidnapped said Police had commenced investigations into the separate attacks, adding that he will only give detail of the kidnapped workers of the company after investigations.
The Italian foreign ministry confirmed one of its nationals was taken in the raid. A spokesman for the British Embassy in Abuja said it was investigating.
Meantime, Chairman of Jama’are Local Government Area, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu, has explained that the eight people kidnapped in Setraco Construction Company are expatriates.
Aliyu who stated this while speaking with newsmen in Bauchi, noted: “Among the workers kidnapped werer one from Britain, one from Greece, one from Italy  while the remaining five are Lebanese.”
List of kidnappings of foreigners in northern Nigeria
Below is a list of kidnappings in the mainly Muslim north.
- May 12, 2011: A Briton and an Italian working for a construction firm are kidnapped in Kebbi state, near the border with Niger. They are killed on March 8, 2012 in neighbouring Sokoto state during a botched rescue operation.
President Goodluck Jonathan said they were killed by their abductors, identifying Boko Haram. What is believed to be Boko Haram’s main faction denied involvement.
- Jan 26, 2012: A German engineer is abducted on the outskirts of the city of Kano. Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) claims the kidnapping. He is executed on May 31 by his captors during a military operation at the site. A security source said the operation was a rescue attempt, but Nigeria’s military later signaled that it did not know the German was at the location when it began the raid.
AQIM is not known to operate directly in Nigeria, but experts believe it has links with elements of Boko Haram and splinter groups.
- Dec 19, 2012: A French engineer is abducted in Katsina state, bordering Niger. Radical Islamist group Ansaru claims his kidnapping, citing France’s push for military intervention in Mali as a justification.
Ansaru is thought to be a Boko Haram splinter group focusing on kidnapping and potentially with links to AQIM.
- February 16, 2013: Gunmen storm a construction site in Bauchi state, kidnapping seven foreign workers and killing a security guard. Two Lebanese, an Italian and a Greek are confirmed by their governments to be among those seized. Nigerian police say the victims include four Lebanese, an Italian, a Briton and a Greek.

Patience Ozorkwo Talks About Being A Widow, And Séx

‘I don’t even remember séx. I have the right to remarry but I don’t want to. So, why think about it. It is when you set your mind at it that you begin to desire it. I have erased it from my mind. When I see young people in love calling themselves ‘honey’, I just ignore it and move on. I don’t even remember séx because God has made me to be very busy. I am attending one function or the other. Even if I am in a relationship with a man, the man won`t feel much of me because I am very busy. Look at some young girls who are married, they don’t give enough time to their families, how much less an old woman like me. By God`s grace I am very busy. You can’t even bring it, once you bring it I cut you off’.

She also said she is lucky because none of her husband's family members disturb her. A lot of men want to marry her, but because they are married she sends them back to their wives. As a matter of fact, she does not want to remarry.

If He Exhibits These Signs In Bed, Then He Is A Keeper

Lets help you identify that one you should keep. Oh yes we are all so kind. You met him, he’s a great listener, keeps good conversation, laughs at the right jokes, is a real gentleman and he is a great romantic. But for him to get an A, he has to pass excellently well in bedmatics. Now how do you know from your first encounter that he is a keeper? Follow us;

1.  Pace not race: he has barely kissed your neck or gotten you ready and now he’s aiming for the pack of condom and getting ready to ease into you and you begin to wonder, has the foreplay even started yet? If it is your first time doing it and he is like this, then maybe he wants the booty more than he wants you. If he won’t take his time to please you but would rather rush through it just for his own pleasure then girl, he is not a keeper. You could call him for sèx once a while maybe.

2.  Does he kiss well: as old fashioned and boring as kissing may sound, it is the gateway to the “kingdom”. A man who doesn’t kiss you but head straight for your buttons while looking for the fastest means to stick his thing into you is one you shouldn’t be keeping. Ditch him.

3.  Does he listen: he should be able to take his time to please you, while you have your foreplay, he shouldn’t just eat away your vagina like orange or watermelon, he should ask you gently if you like it, watch your reaction as he gently pleases you to know how his moves are making you feel. Your response should determine whether he goes on or not. If he does this, then you should be considering keeping him.

4.  Ladies first: even in the bedroom and under the sheets while you guys are naked, yes. He shouldn’t just push your head down and demand for a blow job, that’ll only be acceptable if he picked you off the road on Lagos Island or wherever for a sum. When he makes love to you, he should take the lead, pleasure you and guide you to reciprocate. We are talking about the first time here ladies! That guy gotta work!

5.  And after the party: what happens after the “show”? does he grab his phone, make a phone call, while he walks into the bathroom to freshen up? or does he back you, remove the condom and falls into a deep sleep while he snores like a lion? If this is his immediate reaction, then you know your answer.

Kim Kardashian Makes A Cameo Appearance At Dare Art Alade's LLAM Show

As you read this, Kim Kardashian is on her way back to the US. She only did the red carpet stuff and left the venue. She even tweeted it. So what exactly was the point of them spending all that money to fly Kim K to Nigeria for a few minutes? My Idea of a co - host is someone who stays with the host through out the show, not make a cameo appearance. Is Kim short? When i mean short, that's Kim beside Tiwa and Waje and they are both taller than her. Really surprised compared to all the pics we see.

Pastor dies on the altar after leading prayer

When Solomon Komolafe, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Winners Assembly, Ibadan, Oyo State, set out for church on February 4, 2013, he was hale and hearty.
But the church was thrown into chaos when Komolafe slumped after leading the congregation in a prayer session and died right on the altar.
Komolafe died nine months after one of his daughters lost her life to an auto crash in May 2012.
One of the children of the deceased, Funsho, told PUNCH Metro that Komolafe’s death was shocking and unbelievable.
He said with his father’s death, it had become double calamity for the family.
Funsho, who responded to our correspondent’s questions via electronic mail, said the 69-year-old pastor did not have any terminal ailment.
He stressed that he and other members of the family had yet to come to terms with the sad incident.
He said, “My father, Pastor Komolafe, popularly known as Jack Solo, slumped right on the altar.
“The incident was immediately after he led the congregation in a prayer session. He slumped and died on the spot.”
Funsho said the night preceding his father’s demise, he (Komolafe) had spoken at length with his daughter, Seyi, in the United States.
He added, “Komolafe did not have last moments since he died unexpectedly. But the night before his death, he had a long telephone conversation with Seyi, his son-in-law and grand children in the US.
“He also spoke with Biodun, his son in Lagos and they discussed at length about the Super Eagles”
Funsho said his father was a product of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, with a degree in English and Philosophy as well as Post-Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Office Management.
Funsho eulogised his father’s virtues, saying he was a disciplinarian, industrious, compassionate, philanthropic, pious, accommodating and exemplary leader.
He said Komolafe, an indigene of Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State, was survived by his wife, Adewunmi and three children: Oluwafunsho, Abiodun and Oluwaseyi.
He said Komolafe will be buried in Ibadan on March 8.

Rihanna Attacked Over Chris Brown Relationship — Left Bleeding

Oh no! Rihanna was spotted leaving a club in London on Feb. 16, while a stream of blood ran down her leg. She was allegedly attacked by a man, who’s not happy she’s dating Chris Brown.
Rihanna ended her night at The Box nightclub with a cut knee and blood running down her leg on Feb. 16. The “Diamonds” singer was allegedly assaulted by an aggressive man outside the club.
According to an eyewitness, a fan threw a bottle of Lucozade, a British softdrink, at RiRi as he screamed something about her on-again/off-again boyfriend Chris Brown, 23.
During the altercation, Rihanna, 24, fell against a metal grate and cut her knee, according to Daily Mail. The bottle did not connect with her body. Rihanna’s bodyguard ran after the man, but hurt his leg in the process, prompting them to seek medical attention, Media Take Out says.
Rihanna is in the capital for London Fashion Week, where she debuted her new clothing line for River Island. RiRi enjoyed a night of clubbing with Cara Delevingne on Feb. 16 following the fashion show, but all did not end well.
This crazed fan is not the only one not happy with Rihanna’s recent life decisions. After receiving a pot plant for Valentine’s Day and posting a photo of it on Instagram, Rihanna got a slew of angry comments from moms of her fans.
Moms Are Outraged With Rihanna Over Drug Use
An angry mom, Angie Cormier, wrote on Twitter, “don’t tweet this crap!! My daughter looks up to you! I hope she knows not to do drugs.”
Another user, Connie Priestley, added, “Rihanna makes me feel sick the way she exposes drugs all over Instagram, like young girls don’t follow her. Do it in private.”
Julie Browne said, “Rihanna is SUCH a great role model for young women – sèx drugs violence and nudity.”

Police nab prophet, accomplice over fresh human parts

LAGOS — Two persons, one of them said to be a prophet with a white garment church, have been arrested by the Police in Lagos, following  the discovery of fresh human parts in their custody.
Vanguard gathered that policemen attached to Ikotun division on patrol accosted two men at about 12: 30 p.m, Friday, with a Ghana-must-go bag. When they requested to know the content of the bag, one of the men bolted.
When the bag was eventually opened, fresh human parts were found  inside  two containers.

The  recovered parts  included  five fingers, a human heart, liver, kidney and intestines, all concealed in separate plastics filled with water. The plastics were, thereafter, tied inside separate polythene bags and kept  in the carry-all bag.
Apparently to avoid suspicion, the suspects added soup ingredients such as salt, tomatoes and two pairs of bathroom slippers in a separate nylon bag which they placed on top of the human parts.
However, during interrogation, the arrested suspect identified as Kunle Olaide, claimed the bag was given to him by his friend who bolted when they were stopped.
On further interrogation, it was discovered that Kunle and his fleeing partner, slept in the  church the previous night.
Kunle confessed to be coming from the church located in Egbe area of the state when they were accosted by the policemen. His confessional statement led to the arrest of the said prophet of the church, Dare Akinrosoye.

Sources at SCID told Vanguard that investigation so far revealed that their victim was recently killed. But the purpose and circumstances surrounding the killing were yet to be ascertained. Police sources hinted that it was obvious the suspects were taking the human parts somewhere, assuring that investigation would unravel  the truth.
Contacted, the Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Damasus Ozoani, confirmed the arrest, stating that  investigation was still on.

Nigerian female rappers are scared –Weird MC

b3934817cbd7b09efcd9a25f5d289588
The name Shola Idowu may not immediately ring a bell but at the mention of Weird MC, songs like Allen Avenue and Ijoya come to mind.
The pioneer female rap artiste told Saturday Beats that female rap artistes in Nigeria have a mortal dread.
She said, “They let me know about their element of fear; maybe because of how I relate with a lot of them and because of my demeanour they find it so easy to approach me. They tell me that it is a male dominated industry and I agree with them. It is not just peculiar to Nigeria; it is so in a lot of industries in the world. It is about you striking out and believing that you have to stand out.”
Citing herself as an example, she said she had to fight her way to the top back then when the industry was dominated by men.
“I use myself as an example, Allen Avenue came out from nowhere and it became a huge success. Then I took my time and I came up with Ijoya. I was standing side by side with the male artistes and I was doing major shows. I tell them that they need to work hard.
“ This is not a business where you have to be timid, neither will things be handed to you. You have to stand up and earn your place. I tell them, it is not just about your nails and Brazilian hair, it is about content. If you do not have the content, you will never get the recognition and respect that you deserve. If you stay timid and at the back of the line, no one will ever recognise you.
“I talk to them sometimes on the phone. I have had an experience with one of them; I attended a show and she got booed and started crying. I told her that even if she had to cry, she should do it in private. I do not want to see her cry, it is awful already. You are giving me a very negative perception about your brand.”
She stated that she learnt a major lesson from the success of her song, Ijoya. She learnt that music is all about business.
The weird one said, “Ijoya opened my eyes. It showed me that you cannot relegate yourself to the background in terms of how you express yourself. If you read my biography, it says, you cannot put me in the box. If you do, you will have to break the seal again. At best, I call my music fusion. I can toy with any style from Apala tojuju, classical, anything. That is the kind of artiste I am. I tell them you have to open up to new possibilities.
“A lot of rappers are uptight. A lot of people accused me of selling out after Ijoya came out. They said I broke their heart that they were looking at me as a rap artiste, a torch for women.  I told them that it is a business. I came to the realisation that I love what I do but it is a business.
“It is what pays my bills. I have responsibilities. No mother, no father, I am the senior one at home. I have junior ones to take care of, school fees to pay. I have things to do. That is what I say to them.”
Weird MC is a also judge on a new initiative created by Ultima Studios. The competition, U-Rap, she said, is a way of making rap prominent in Nigeria.
She explained, “Why I am part of U-Rap is because I have a close relationship with the organisers. I am working on some new projects right now, but I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag yet. It is part of me diversifying the Weird MC brand. I was called and they told me about the competition which is majorly done online. I thought that since we have had a good rapport over the years, why not join them.
“As it was is, it is going back in time. I feel the U-Rap competition will impact positively on the industry. So far, it has been myself, Illbliss, Mode9, Ruggedman that have been pushing rap. Now we have the likes of MI, Naeto C, Phenom, Muna, Zee, Eva, Sasha, Olamide.
“ I think Mo’Cheddah has a better understanding of the market with what she has done so far. I am working on my new album and I put female rap artistes on it. It can only get better.”

Touching Story Of Adam Dalton; Born Without Limbs

Barry and Juliet had always dreamt of having a boy and a girl. They had Molly first and when the scans showed their next baby was going to be a boy, Juliette and Barry Dalton were filled with very happy.
Juliette had needed an emergency Caesarean under general anaesthesia with Molly after being induced, and she didn’t want to go through it again, and so she dreaded the birth. “That’s why I guessed I was being so closely monitored at the hospital near our home in Ballinasloe, County Galway, in Ireland,” she said.
Adam and Molly Dalton
“I’d been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome years earlier. I had lots of cysts on my ovaries, making it harder to conceive.
It had taken two years to get pregnant the first time, but I’d miscarried at 11 weeks. Devastated, we vowed to try again and, luckily, after six months I’d discovered I was expecting Molly. This baby boy had been three years in the making and I’d had to take Clomid – a fertility pill. Now it was only two weeks until our son was born,” Juliette narrated.
The sonographer had just concluded the scan, and had told her she’s expecting a baby boy, assuring her that the baby is healthy and everything seem to be in place.
As it turned out, Juliette could only be delivered of her baby through Caesarean section yet again.
“We’re just going to check him over,” a paediatrician said, taking the baby into a back room as his wails filled the room upon delivery.
“You have a baby boy,” the paediatrician began as she got back to the room. There was a pause. “But he’s been born with no hands.”

Juliette says how shocked she was and kept coming in waves. She couldn’t speak nor think. “What do you mean he’s been born with no hands?” Juliette heard her husband Barry ask. The paediatrician spoke softly, explaining that their baby didn’t have any hands, and that his arms stopped above the elbows.
“Come with me, and you can see your baby,” the doctor said to Barry. “We’re really sorry for what’s happened to your baby,” they Juliette. She nodded, unable to answer. “Did you take anything while you were pregnant?” She shook her head. “Of course not,” she told them, guilt tearing at her. “I didn’t smoke or take drugs. “I took Clomid,” she spluttered but the doctors shook their heads. “That wouldn’t have caused this,” they said.
Juliette couldn’t stop crying the baby was brought to her. It wasn’t huge gulping sobs, but silent sobbing, where tears just tripped down her face. “I was grieving for the child I’d thought I’d have, but who was now gone. Instead my Adam was here and he was so vulnerable that my heart was being ripped out of my chest,” she said.
“I want Molly to be the first to see him,” she whispered. Barry’s mum Sandra brought her in. “You have a little brother, she told Molly gently, “but his hands didn’t grow.” Molly went straight over and kissed him. “He’ll be OK,” she smiled. “Look, he’s got a finger.”
Doctors said Adam wouldn’t crawl but he shuffled on his bum. He learnt how to hold things between his stumps, and we had his club foot corrected. Because one leg’s shorter than the other, he had to get a prosthetic fitted for him to slip his leg into. He also got false hands, which were basic with a pincer-movement, but he refused to wear them. He didn’t need them anyway as he can do everything just as well without them. Adam learnt to ride a bike with specially adapted handlebars. When we went to the park, he’d jump and go on everything, showing no fear.
Adam is an outgoing, happy little boy who is at school now and loves football, trampolining and playing on his Playstation. He can type away using the pointy bone at the end of his stump and is better than anyone. He still hasn’t accepted that he’ll never have hands. He once asked his dad, Barry, “Are my fingers under my skin, Daddy, waiting to come out?” His parents would do anything to make their son fit in and Dorset Orthopaedic has made him special false arms with drum sticks at the end as he loves drumming. He says he wants to be a shopkeeper when he grows up, but his mum thinks he could do anything.
Now if people ask him why he doesn’t have any hands he tells them, “They didn’t grow when I was in my mummy’s tummy.” Juliette registered Adam’s disability on the world-wide register as she’d been taking Clomid before she got pregnant. She was however told that no other person in the world had ever had a baby with deformities after taking the drug, so no one knows why Adam’s lower arms and hands didn’t grow.
“Barry and I had DNA tests and nothing abnormal showed up but Adam faces a 50 per cent chance of having a child with limb deficiency. Adam is so talented, brave and happy. He’s an inspiration to me and a lot of others. I can’t ever feel down if Adam’s around. He’s only seven, but never feels sorry for himself or complains. He doesn’t have any hands but he has a big heart and even bigger grin – and that makes me proud to be his mum,” Juliette says.

Two Suspected Boko Haram Members Killed By Own Bomb

Nemesis caught up with two suspected Boko Haram members, Friday, in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, as they were consumed by their own bomb.

The two suicide bombers, according to a statement issued by the spokesman of the  Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno, Operation Restore Order,  Sagir Musa, exploded and died with their bomb before they could wreak havoc on their target.

"At about 4.30pm on Friday, February 15, 2013, there was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion by terrorists targeted at JTF patrol vehicles at Gamboru Market General area, just about 1000 meters away from the main market on the road to Gamboru – Gala.

"The explosion/IEDs entail acid and highly flammable substances that propagated blast and thermal effects which set houses and adjoining shops around the vicinity on fire.

"Two persons suspected to be the bombers lost their lives as a result of the explosion," Musa said in the statement.

Musa said that though a JTF vehicle was damaged and a soldier was injured, no civilian was killed or injured in the attack.

Meet The Celebrities Who Married On Valentine’s Day. Lil Wayne And Others

People get married everyday, but it becomes more interesting when couples tie the knot on a day regarded as lovers’ day; Valentine’s Day.
Here are some couples who walked down the aisle on Valentine’s Day, but out of the three power couples we have here, two are no longer together. What does that say about the Valentine’s day or getting married on February 14 because it’s the day of love?
1. Lil Wayne and Toya Wright
Lil Wayne married his high school sweetheart Toya Wright on Valentine’s Day of 2004. The love radiating in the air throughout the world on their wedding day was not enough to keep them as one. They had a daughter together, but divorced in 2006.
Although they are no longer together they still remain the best of friends.

 2. Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault
Valentine’s Day 2009 was the day Latina actress Salma Hayek married French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault. The two have one child together and are still going strong after 4 years. Their cupid survived the arrow, I guess.

3. Prince and Mayte Garcia
On Valentine’s Day 1996, Hollywood Exes star Mayte wed the legendary Prince. The two were married until 1998 when their love went sour and Prince announced their divorce.

Call it the day the cupid works for all year, lovers’ day, or whatever it means to you. It’s simply just a reminder of the importance of love. You should show love to people around you everyday of the year. It doesn’t have to be on February 14.
For some people, lovers’ day has come and gone, and so they stop showing love, exchanging gifts, or taking their partners out…any love-related commitments postponed till next Valentine. Love has to be lived daily; even marriages that begin on Valentine’s Day do break.

Delta names Asaba Stadium after Keshi, rewards Eagles

Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan Thursday night made members of the Super Eagles proud of their Nations Cup effort when he organized a befitting reception for them and also rewarded them with money.
The players left Asaba walking taller than their heights. And prominent among them was their chief coach, Stephen Keshi who said he lost words to describe the honour bestowed on him. He said that he would, forever, thank God for creating him a Nigerian from Delta State.
This followed the actions of President Goodluck Jonathan who Tuesday rewarded the players with money and plots of land in Abuja and Dr. Uduaghan who also rewarded the players and coaches with money and also directed that a befitting duplex be built for Keshi in Asaba. Uduaghan also named the Asaba Stadium which is still under construction after Stephen Keshi.

“I have really lost words to describe all these. I thank God for making me a Nigerian from Delta State. What can I do and how do I say thank you? The best way to thank you is to pray for you every day of my life,” Keshi told Dr. Uduaghan who is transforming sports in Delta State.
“Sports is one of the areas we want to develop and which we hope can help sustain our economy beyond the oil time,” Uduaghan said on a day top musicians and comedians entertained at the Dome in Asaba.
Each player of the Eagles got N2.5 million and Keshi’s assistants got N4m each. Keshi himself was given N8m.
For the purposes of making Delta youths take after the Nations Cup heroes, Uduaghan recognised present and former Warri Wolves players in the team and gave them additional N2.5 million. He also rewarded Deltans in the team (Fegor Ogude, Elderson Echiejile and Ambrose Efe) with additional N2.5m.
Warri Wolves FC received N5m for contributing players to the national team. Sunday Mba, Chigozie Agbim and Azubuike Egwuekwe are all Warri Wolves players. Nosa Igiebor, Fegor Ogude and Ambrose Efe all played for Warri Wolves before they left for Europe.
The governor assured that the Asaba Stadium will be completed in six months and should be ready to host local and international matches.
Deltans thronged into the Dome, venue of the reception, to honour the Eagles. The special visitors were greatly entertained. It was a night of laughter, music and celebration of the Nations Cup heroes. In the hall were, interestingly, some of the past heroes of Nigerian football who are of Delta origin.
George Ogawon was the first university graduate to play for the Eagles. He was there and made a speech. Jossy Dombraye, Godwin Etemike, Owolu, Ebuwan Didiare were also great names who played for Nigeria about fourty years ago. Jay Kay Okocha was there too.
Uduaghan wants heroes to mentor the younger ones. It is part of the culture he wants to build in Delta state and wants Keshi and Eagles of Delta origin to play a role in achieving this. The plan is to get more people into sports and also develop the industry.
Hosting the Eagles in Asaba, he said, would likely inspire some young players to stardom.
