John Dumelo and Yvonne Neslon have been best friends for over a year now
and they call each other “my boo for life”…..Yvonne says ”A good friend
who makes you laugh is cheaper than going for therapy. John is that
friend of mine!”

They do almost everything together, travel together, attend events together, eat together and even watch movies together!

Yvonne says they love watching the movie ‘Titanic’ and each time they
do, she ends up crying while he consoles her after laughing at her.
Some of their fun moments include their hilarious version of the ‘Oga at the top dance’.

In a not-so-recent interview with Toolz on Ndani TV, when asked what was
going on between her and John, Yvonne said “John is like my brother.
He’s a Fantastic guy…” adding that John had a girl friend in UK: “John
has a girlfriend. John has a girlfriend….in London I guess. He’s going
to kill me!”

John Dumelo however refuted Yvonne’s claim in a follow up interview with
NigeriaFilms “I think Yvonne Nelson was not serious with her statement.
I know when Yvonne Nelson is serious and when she’s joking. She was
acting in the interview so there is no need of taking her statement
serious. My girlfriend is not in UK” he said.

Last year, the best friends created a video together on keek where they jokingly cleared the air on the misconception (
a Yvonne and John secret relationship) everyone had about them.

“I’ve never felt for her and never will. So ladies out there I’m sorry
she is really spoiling my market. But thanks to all of you for saying we
look good together. But it’s simply not possible to like Yvonne because
she only makes me puke” he said amidst laughter

While Yvonne amidst laughter also said “the whole world thinks that
there is something between the two of us … let me get straight to the
point.. I don’t like John; I don’t feel nothing for him…”
John Dumelo’s greatest wish for
Yvonne is for “each day to bring her nothing but joy and
happiness.” …he further says Yvonne Nelson’s cheeks are his Achilles
hills.
When he appeared on the ‘Hang Out’ segment on the ‘Cruise Control’ show on Hitz FM last year,
said “I’m
cool with every kiss in my movies but I enjoy the ones with Yvonne
Nelson the most and this is because we get along well on and off set,
this simply means that we are closest friends”

Yvonne in a recent interview with Vanguard said “I am not dating
now-conventionally speaking, but I wouldn’t say that I am desperate for a
relationship at the same time. People have asked me if I don’t think I
should be considering settling down, and I tell them that I appreciate
their concerns but that I am still very young. I don’t have to rush to
get married because everyone is doing so. When the time comes, I will
get married.”
So for now she’s sticking with bestie, John Dumelo cos he’s always there for her! #Okbye
Asked if she is currently dating anybody, given the
fact that she was called a lesbian simply because she had not been
regularly seen in the company of her boyfriend, Yvonne replied “I am
not dating now-conventionally speaking, but I wouldn’t say that I am
desperate for a relationship at the same time. People have asked me if I
don’t think I should be considering settling down, and I tell them that
I appreciate their concerns but that I am still very young. I don’t
have to rush to get married because everyone is doing so. When the time
comes, I will get married.
This may surprise you: I am a simple girl – very easy to date. If I go
out with a date, it doesn’t cost the man money. I don’t order expensive
champagne, I don’t order exotic meals. My drink of choice is orange
juice. Most women would say they are looking for a chiseled man – those
with perfect six-packed abs – well good luck to them.
I am not interested in macho men. I am more interested in the
substance-the values and the humanity the man brings to the table than
with his physical or material possessions. I work hard, so I don’t
expect my man to have to slave to satisfy me. I am sure this may
surprise you, because any one who looks at me – analyses the roles I
play may incorrectly define me according to those roles. That is the
exact opposite of what and who I am.
The screen diva claimed that she has been misunderstood in the industry,
adding that “I am nothing close to the roles I play in movies.”
On the role she played in that soft-porn movie ‘Heart of Men”, featuring
herself and Majid Michel where they were enmeshed in a hot romance
scene, the leggy actress debunked exposing vital parts of her body.
“That is why I am willing to address some of those misconceptions now.
Even though it pains me to have to talk about them, but I will. People
should understand that. I am an actress and I get scripts where I’m
expected to interprete my role.
“As a consummate professional, I am not going to turn down those scripts
because I’m expected to act in a certain manner. I am aware that some
people took exception to the role I played in the movie, “Heart of Men”
where there appeared to be some form of frontal nudity, but the truth of
the matter is that there was no such overt display of nudity.”

Btw, here’s a quick tip on how to be a great best friend
Always come through in the clutch —> When your friend really
needs something done, or a favor, be there for them. Help out. Think of
how much they’d appreciate it. You never know when you’ll be stuck
between a rock and a hard place and might need someone (a good friend,
maybe?) to bail you out.
