In the world of their fans

Psquare, Cynthia Okpala
F ans, to a large extent, make or mar any artiste. Their popularity is gaged by their fan base and when their fortune dwindles, they no longer enjoy the patronage. In this interview, these musicians share their worst and best experiences
Some desperate girls were all over us — Psquare
It is not easy but we handle everybody with love and care. One thing is to be a celebrity, and another is knowing how to handle all that comes with it. Sometimes, these fans will call us just to hear our voices and to wish us well. There was a time when we went for a night party and some desperate girls were all over us. Before we knew what was happening, they were kissing and romancing us openly! We had to run for our dear lives. It’s the craziest thing we have ever done.
A fan said I was a snob —Cynthia Okpala
The worst experience should be a fan describing me as snobbish .I am so far from that and I can’t imagine someone accusing me of keeping my nose in the air. That person must have probably caught me at a bad time. I felt bad at that time because I cannot even snub to save my life. The best experience should be people sending messages and telling me that they like what I do.
It’s obscene, can’t say it —Sunny Neji
There are too many experiences and one does not readily come to mind. The worst experience? I cannot bring myself to voicing it out. It happened in the United Kingdom and it descended to a level of obscenity. That is all I can say. Best things done to me by fans? They are too numerous to mention.
 They think I’m perfect —Brymo
The best thing is they love my music. It is gratifying to know that people out there appreciate my music. It only goes to show that I am doing something right. Don’t get me wrong; I am not swollen-headed. The worst thing is that some fans think I am perfect which I am not. Something happened last week when a nude picture was online.  I was castigated a lot which I did not really expect but I termed it to mean attention from fans.
A fan tattooed  me on her skin —Ice Prince
The worst thing a fan has done to me is nothing. If you are a fan of mine, you will not want to do anything to hurt me. As such, a fan has never embarrassed me. But the best thing a fan has done to me is putting a tattoo of my name on her skin. A female fan boldly inscribed my name on her arm? I was overwhelmed over. You do not want to know the kind of pain she must have undergone to get that done. It only goes to show the extent of her admiration for me.
They pray for me —Eva Alordiah
I am yet to be exposed to that fan that would hurt me so much that I would consider it my worst experience and I pray I don’t come in contact with that person or persons.
For the best, it is amazing to have fans that constantly pray for me and just buy me gifts out of the blues. It is the most amazing and humbling experience ever.
I hate it when fans slap my buttocks — DJ Caise
I think the worst should be when people walk up to me when I am deejaying, slap me on my butt for no just reason and walk away. I always feel very bad because it is not only uncalled for, it is distracting. The best would probably be the feedbacks I always get on twitter. People tell me they love my music, they love what I am doing and they tell God to bless me. Even the criticisms on twitter are good because they help me to better my craft.
 She kissed me —Bigiano
I do not know whether to describe this as my worst or most embarrassing experience. Anyway, a female fan saw me in a mall and the next thing she did was jump on me and kiss me! I felt like fainting that day because it was so unexpected.
My most thrilling experience with a fan was in the United States of America. After the performance, a fan gave me a box and when I opened it later on, I found a wristwatch and perfume. That was a huge surprise.
