Teacher Rearrestested After Having sèx With More Boys And Getting Pregnant

The California high school teacher suspected of birthing a student's child and sleeping with at least two others was charged Monday with multiple felonies.
Laura Elizabeth Whitehurst, 28, faces 41 counts of sèxual intercourse and oral copulation with minors, the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office said.
"Students represent the future of our communities and protecting them will continue to be my number one priority," District Attorney Michael Ramos said.

Laura Elizabeth Whitehurst was originally accused of having a yearlong relationship with a 16-year-old.

Police arrested Whitehurst Monday for the second time because prosecutors filed additional charges. Her bail was increased from $25,000 to $750,000, the attorney's office said.

She was first arrested July 1 when authorities only knew of her alleged relationship with the boy whose child she reportedly carried. That sèxual relationship started last summer when the student was 16 and lasted for nearly a year, authorities said.
The accusation prompted two other young men to come forward with their alleged sèxual relationships with Whitehurst when she was 23 and they were 14 and 17 respectively.

The Redlands School District officials deny the allegation that they did not immediately report their knowledge of the incident affair.
"Our primary concern is the safety of our students and the District takes this arrest very seriously," a message on the district's website reads.
