The
building collapsed during a heavy downpour.The Taraba State
Government has confirmed the collapse of a school building over students
writing WAEC exams, saying four students died, while 30 others were
injured.

Sule, the spokesperson to the acting governor, Garba Umar, while
confirming the incident to PREMIUM TIMES over the phone, name the
affected school as Alfa Academy, Mararraba, Donga, adding that the
traditional ruler of Donga, the Gara of Donga, has already visited the
site of the incident and also commiserated with the families of the
victims on behalf of the state government.
Mr.
Sule added that “the school is privately owned and the information I
have is that there was heavy rain when the building collapsed”.
