of the state police command, ASP Lucky Uyabeme, said the victims were
ambushed on their way to the farm, adding that one of the suspects,
identified as Chuks had attempted to woo one of the victims, who is a
16-year-old SSII student of one of the secondary schools in the area,

members who assisted him to rápe the girl, her mother and two sisters
on that fateful day.

the victims with AK 47s. They allegedly stripped them naked before
defiling them on the bush path.

to the scene and were given the same treatment by the suspects who
after threatening to kill them escaped with their victims’ wrappers and
tools into the bush.
Luck however, ran out on one of the gang members as he was identified by the victims.
Some
sympathizers who assisted the victims allegedly contacted the police
where they insisted that one of the suspects was a known face in the
community.
